Privacy policy

Effective October 7, 2026

BuildWalker is a service of Chameleon Software Inc. ("BuildWalker", "we"), a Canadian company. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

• When you buy: your name, email, what you bought and the billing details checkout asks for. Stripe processes the payment; we never see or store your card number.
• When you send us your plan: the plans, photos and notes you upload, and the list of changes you ask for.
• When you book a call through our booking page (Cal.com): your name, email, and the answers you choose to give.
• When you email us: your message, your contact details and any files you attach.
• When you visit the site: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and pages in aggregate. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Why we use it

To take your payment, build your walkthrough, make the changes you ask for, reply to you, and keep the records the law requires. We use your plan only to build the walkthrough you ordered.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the service, each under its own privacy and security commitments:

• Stripe, for payments and invoices.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website, stores the files you upload and forwards our email.
• Cal.com, for booking calls.
• Google (Gmail, Calendar and Meet), for email, scheduling and video calls.
• Our production subcontractors, who build the 3D walkthroughs. They receive your plan and your list of changes, and nothing they don't need for that work.

Some of these providers and subcontractors store or process information outside Canada. When that happens, the information is subject to the laws of the country where it is held. We remain responsible for it and use contracts to require a comparable level of protection.

How long we keep it

We keep your plan files and walkthrough for as long as your order is open and for up to two years after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Enquiries and booking details are kept for as long as we are talking with you and for up to two years after. Records we must keep by law, such as invoices, are kept as long as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent and have it deleted, subject to legal limits. Email hello@buildwalker.ca and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
